Additive Manufacturing｜Introduction of Student 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Association

The Chongqing University 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Association was established in October 2015 and is considered an A-level student organization at the university. We belong to the esteemed College of Mechanical Engineering. Our main focus lies in promoting and advancing the field of 3D printing and additive manufacturing.

Since our inception, we have been actively involved in research and development. During my tenure as the president of the association, I was extremely obsessed with the open source project VORON Design, and I led our team to manufacture three (VORON v0.1, VORON v2.4, VORON Switchwire) These achievements showcase our dedication to innovation and technical expertise.

In addition to our technological accomplishments, we have also organized several prestigious events such as the 3D Printer Design Competition and the 3D Modeling Competition. These competitions offer participants a platform to showcase their talents and exchange ideas. We take pride in organizing these events, which have gained recognition both within our university and at higher levels.

Not only focuses on research and competitions, we also organizes outreach activities to promote 3D printing technology. We conduct promotional events to showcase the applications of 3D printing across various industries. Additionally, we provide technical training sessions to enhance members’ skills and invite experts to deliver lectures and seminars, ensuring continuous learning and knowledge sharing within our association.

Through our consis tent efforts, we have earned the distinction of being recognized as an outstanding student organization by Chongqing University. This recognition serves as a testament to our commitment, hard work, and passion for our field.

With over 600 members, our association operates on a significant scale. We have a diverse team structure in place to effectively manage the different aspects of our organization’s functioning. This includes our dedicated Chairman’s team, Technical Department (Hardware and Software), External Liaison Department, and Publicity Department.

Being a part of the Chongqing University 3D Printing and Additive Manufacturing Association has been a rewarding experience. Together, we strive for excellence, represent our university in various competitions at the national and international levels, and contribute to the development of this rapidly evolving field.
